Festival Records: 1954-66

 In 1954 G. A. Wooller & Co Ltd obtained the licensing rights to release the Festival (Australia) Ltd stable of labels in New Zealand. It began releasing 78s on the Festival (NZ) label. In 1956 Festival started releasing singles in the new seven inch vinyl 45rpm format.

Festival Records: 1966-74 

In 1966 Festival (Australia) Ltd ended it's licensing deal with G. A. Wooller & Co Ltd. The NZ cinema chain Kerridge Odeon and Festival (Australia) Ltd formed a partnership and created Festival Records (NZ) Ltd in November 1966. The new company had several labels on it's roster including Coral, Atlantic and A&M. As well as issuing releases on it's Festival label. 

 

Singles were issued in the Festival company label. 

 

Front Sleeve 1966-71

 

Two different rear designs were printed from 1966 to 1971. This Festival sleeve design is similar to the Australian Festival sleeves used during these years, with notable differences to distinguish both (most evident in the Australian version being manufactured with a flipback, while the NZ version does not).

In 1974 the sleeve design for Festival 45s was changed to the classic blue company sleeve.
