Buddah

Before 1969, the  American label Buddah releases were issued in New Zealand on the Kama Sutra label. Philips Records (NZ) Ltd. held the New Zealand licensing rights of both labels. 

Buddah: 1969 to 1971

In 1969 Philips Records (NZ) Ltd started distributing of Buddah Records as a separate label. Singles were issued in a unique sleeve.

Buddah: 1971 to 1972

In 1970, the distribution arm of Philips Electrical Industries of New Zealand Ltd was rebranded as Polygram Records (NZ) Ltd.  From  1971 Buddah singles were issued in the Polygram company sleeve.

Buddah: 1972 to 1975

In 1972 Polygram Records Ltd was rebranded as Phonogram Ltd. The sleeve changed accordingly.

In 1975 the Phonogram company sleeve changed.

Phonogram stopped issuing vinyl singles on the Buddah label in New Zealand in 1976.
