This site provides information about the record company sleeves used for New Zealand pressed and distributed 7" vinyl 45s. There are some gaps and possible mistakes. If you can add a correct date or sleeve please add a comment or email us. The images of the centre labels are meant to be a guide. Some record companies produced multiple variations of their labels. Too many to show here. This site is dedicated to record sleeves.

Capitol

Radio Corporation of New Zealand Ltd had been releasing 78s on the Capitol label in New Zealand since 1952. In 1954 it started releasing EPs on the new seven inch 45 format. I am unsure what sleeve these singles were issued in. If you can shed some light on this please leave a comment.

In 1956 His Master's Voice (NZ) Ltd attained the license to distribute Capitol Records. Singles were issued in a unique sleeve.

Capitol Sleeve 1956 to 1958?

I am unsure when the pink sleeve was introduced. It seems to be around 1958 or 1959. I am also unsure when it was phased out. It might even have been used up until the introduction of the black sleeve in 1962. If you can shed some light on this please leave a comment.
