This site provides information about the record company sleeves used for New Zealand pressed and distributed 7" vinyl 45s. There are some gaps and possible mistakes. If you can add a correct date or sleeve please add a comment or email us. The images of the centre labels are meant to be a guide. Some record companies produced multiple variations of their labels. Too many to show here. This site is dedicated to record sleeves.

Decca

His Master's Voice New Zealand Ltd had been releasing 78s on the Decca label since 1948. In 1956 it started releasing seven-inch vinyl singles.

Decca: 1956 to 1962

From 1956 to 1962 Decca shared a common sleeve with London Records, another His Master's Voice (NZ) licensed label.

In 1972, His Master's Voice was renamed EMI and the sleeve changed accordingly. I am unsure when this sleeve was retired. If you can shed light on this please leave a comment or email me.

The label still had His Master's Voice printed on it up until 1977. Some Decca singles were released in the purple EMI sleeve from at least 1972 on. I am unsure if was used before this.
