Lotus was a Wellington-based record label which ran briefly from 1961 until 1966. It ran independently for its first five years of operations, before being distributed by the Manufacturers Distribution Company Limited in 1966 right before ceasing its operations.

Between 1961 and 1962, Lotus released the most singles it would issue as a label. During this time, Lotus singles came in a unique company sleeve.
