Polydor

Polydor: 1958 to 1965

In 1958, Philips Electrical Industries of New Zealand Ltd began releasing British label Polydor Records in New Zealand. Singles were issued in an unique Polydor sleeve.

Polydor: 1966 to 1971

In 1966 the red sleeve was introduced.

Both label designs were in use at the same time.

Polydor: 1971 to 1972

In 1970, the distribution arm of Philips Electrical Industries of New Zealand Ltd was rebranded as Polygram Records (NZ) Ltd. Polydor singles were issued in the Polygram company sleeve.

Polydor: 1972 to 1975

In 1972 Polygram Records Ltd became Phonogram Ltd. Polydor singles began being issued in Phonogram company sleeve.

Polydor: 1975 to 1981

The dark brown sleeve was introduced in 1975.

Polydor Centre Label 1972 to 1978

In 1978, Phonogram again became PolyGram. The sleeve changed accordingly.

The PolyGram company sleeve changed again in 1981.

In 1983 the red and green PolyGram sleeves were introduced.

Polydor Records New Zealand stopped releasing vinyl singles in 1987.
