Asylum

Asylum: 1972 to 1975

In 1972 EMI obtained the rights to distribute American label Asylum. Singles were issued in the Purple EMI sleeve.

Asylum: 1975 to 1978

In 1975 the newly formed WEA NZ Ltd took over distributing Asylum Records. Singles were issued in the WEA company sleeve.

The white WEA sleeve was introduced in 1978.

WEA introduced the blue sleeve in 1982.

WEA stopped issued singes on the Asylum label in 1985.
