Festival Records: 1956 to 1959

In 1954 G. A. Wooller & Co Ltd obtained the licensing rights to release the Festival (Australia) Ltd stable of labels in New Zealand. It began releasing 78s on the Festival (NZ) label. In 1956 Festival started releasing singles in the new seven-inch 45rpm format. They were issued in a unique sleeve.

In 1959 the sleeve design changed. I am unsure if this sleeve was in use until 1966 or just until 1962. If you can shed light on this please leave a comment.

In 1966 Festival (Australia) Ltd ended it's licensing deal with G. A. Wooller & Co Ltd. Festival Records (NZ) Ltd was created. Festival singles were issued in the Festival company sleeve.

In 1971, the black Festival company sleeve was introduced.
