This site provides information about the record company sleeves used for New Zealand pressed and distributed 7" vinyl 45s. There are some gaps and possible mistakes. If you can add a correct date or sleeve please add a comment or email us. The images of the centre labels are meant to be a guide. Some record companies produced multiple variations of their labels. Too many to show here. This site is dedicated to record sleeves.

La Gloria

La Gloria Records was an independent New Zealand label owned by Harry Miller. As well as releasing records on its own label it also had the licenses to several overseas labels, most notably Reprise Records and Roulette Records. The La Gloria label released mainly New Zealand artist.

La Gloria: 1959 to 1963

From 1959 until 1963 La Gloria singles were issued in an unique sleeve.

La Gloria: 1963 to 1967

In 1963 the label was sold to Viking Records but was run as an independent company. The above unique sleeve was still used for a while. After 1963, the 'wallpaper' sleeve (or later a plain white sleeve) was used more and more. I am unsure the exact date the La Gloria sleeve was fully retired. If you can shed some light on this please leave a comment or email us.

In 1960 and 1961 La Gloria released several American artists on the American La Gloria subsidiary label. Singles were issued in the La Gloria company sleeve.
