MCA

MCA: 1969 to 1972

In 1969 Pye (NZ) Ltd began distributing the American label MCA in New Zealand. Singles were released in a unique sleeve.

MCA: 1972 to 1976

In 1972 MCA singles started to be issued in the Pye company sleeve.

MCA: 1976 to 1981

In 1976 Phonogram took over distribution of MCA in New Zealand. Singles were issued in the PolyGram company sleeve.

In 1978 Phonogram was renamed PolyGram. The above sleeve with Phonogram on the bottom right corner is from 1976 to 1978. If it has polyGram it is from 1978 to 1981.

MCA: 1981 to 1982

In 1981 the white PolyGram sleeve was introduced.

In 1983 WEA began distributing MCA Records. Singles in the WEA company sleeve.

MCA stopped releasing seven inch vinyl singles in New Zealand in 1986.
