This site provides information about the record company sleeves used for New Zealand pressed and distributed 7" vinyl 45s. There are some gaps and possible mistakes. If you can add a correct date or sleeve please add a comment or email us. The images of the centre labels are meant to be a guide. Some record companies produced multiple variations of their labels. Too many to show here. This site is dedicated to record sleeves.

Peak

Peak was a Christchurch based independent label owned by Jack Urlwin. As well as licensing several overseas labels like Epic, Cadence and King Records. It also released recordings by local artists. From 1959 to 1964 they were distributed by Philips Electrical Industries.

From 1959 to 1960 singles were issued in a bag not a sleeve.

In 1960 a new paper sleeve was introduced.

Perk: 1964 to 1970

A new sleeve and centre label design was introduced in 1964. I am unsure if Philips was still distributing Peak after 1964. If you can shed some light on this please leave a comment.
