United Artist

United Artists: 1961 to 1966

Allied International Ltd started distributing the American label United Artist Records in New Zealand in 1961. Singles were issued in a unique sleeve.

United Artists: 1966 to 1971

In 1966 after the split with Allied International Ltd the newly formed Festival Records (NZ) Ltd took over distribution of United Artist Records. Singles were issued in the Festival company sleeve.

In 1975, Festival introduced the blue company sleeve.

In 1978 EMI Records (NZ) Ltd took over distribution of United Artists Records. Singles were issued in the generic EMI company sleeve.

EMI Records (NZ) Ltd wound down United Artists Records in New Zealand in 1980.
