La Gloria: 1959-63
La Gloria Records was an independent New Zealand label owned by Harry
Miller. As well as releasing records on its own label it also had the
licenses to several overseas labels, most notably Reprise Records and Roulette Records. The La Gloria label released mainly New Zealand artist.
From 1959 until 1963 singles were issued in an unique sleeve.

In
1963 the label was sold to Viking Records but was run as a independent
company. The above unique sleeve was still used for a while. After
1963, the 'wallpaper' sleeve (or later a plain white sleeve) was used
more and more. I am unsure the exact date the LA Gloria sleeve was fully retired. If you can shed some light on this please leave a comment or email us.
