Motown / Tamla Motown

Before 1965 Motown artists were released in New Zealand on Stateside Records, which was a subsidiary label of His Master's Voice (NZ) Ltd.

In 1965 His Master's Voice (NZ) Ltd established the Tamla Motown label in New Zealand. I am unsure what sleeve the early singles were issued in. Possibly the H.M.V. company sleeve. If can shed light on this please leave a comment.

In 1967 a unique sleeve was introduced.

In 1972 H.M.V.'s distribution arm was rebranded EMI. The sleeve changed accordingly.
